When you look at a story in a magazine, you wouldn't believe the money, time, and planning that goes into shooting an eight page spread. Consistency is always the goal, and it takes the most talented of stylists to produce that many images that tie together nicely. One of the stylists that inspired me to want to pursue styling is Venetia Scott, whose images (she's shot herself and styled) are featured here. It takes so much labor and correspondence with designers to prepare for a shoot. Even if only eight images are chosen, it takes several (four... five) trunks full of looks to put together a story. I can't even begin to imagine how she manages to organize and delegate all the assignments that go into producing a spread, all while also handling the photography. That's the kind of love I want in my shoots.
